European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry

ECMI EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME The ECMI educational industrial mathematics programme, makes use of mathematical models in industry and educates industrial mathematicians to meet the growing demand for such experts. Within European industry, there is a shortage of industrial mathematicians who are familiar with the latest mathematical ideas and techniques. ECMI teaching centers are  running a joint two-year educational master programme on Mathematics for Industry with two different branches: Technomatematics or Economathematics. At the end of this programme the Consortium issues a Certificate in Industrial Mathematics, signed by the president of ECMI.  The Certificate, that has not a legal value but is a "quality statement" recognised by all the universities of the Consortium, can be awarded to students who get the MSc (Laurea Magistrale) in Mathematics or in Applied Mathematics who fulfil the  requirements listed here	ECMI Summer School and Modelling Week 2010
	ERASMUS CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT ECMIMIM project, is an Erasmus Curriculum Development grant whose main aim is the creation of a Model Curriculum with best practical solutions for the European MS programmes in Industrial Mathematics: the leitmotiv is that of exposing the students to real world problems in industry. It also aims to a fluid exchange of students and staff ....	CURRICULUM di MATEMATICA INDUSTRIALE L'orientamento ECMI della Laurea Magistrale in Matematica (curriculum C-Industriale), è l'implementazione presso l'Universita' degli Studi di Milano del ECMI Educational Programme in Matematica Industriale. Esso e' un percorso a carattere interdisciplinare, finalizzato alla modellizzazione matematica, alla simulazione e all'ottimizzazione di problemi industriali, sociali, economici, tecnologici e biomedici e allo sviluppo di capacità di lavoro in gruppo e di comunicazione. Esso consente lo svolgimento di attività esterne, ad esempio tirocini formativi presso aziende e laboratori nell'ambito di un corso di studi integrato. A conclusione della laurea magistrale gli studenti potranno ottenere il Certificato ECMI, in aggiunta al diploma di laurea. A partire dall'anno accademico 2011/12 alcuni studenti potranno ricevere un doppio diploma di laurea dalle sedi interessate.	LINKS ECMI MILANO ECMI
