The school will focus on the performance and governance of services of general interests and in particular on six core sectors: Electricity, Gas, Telecommunications, Railways, Local Public Transport, Water and Waste Water.

The objective of this school is to familiarise participants with the structure, regulation and performance of public services in Europe, particularly network industries and policy reforms supported by the European Union.

The school is going to be an excellent opportunity for the ambitious students to get the following:

  • An overview of network industries reform in the EU in six core sectors.
  • A unique focus on public enterprises economics and management.
  • An international faculty of senior experts
  • Opportunity for interacting with stakeholders from the European Commission and European agencies.
  • Participation at the XV edition of Milan European Economy Workshop.
  • Working groups and under the guidance of a tutor and prize for the best working group presentation.
  • Visibility of own works through EUsers website, Jean Monnet Network and CIRIEC.
  • No fee is required for admitted participants. Travel and accommodation costs covered by the EU funds combined with funds provided by the University of Milan.
