Ulf Papenfuß is Professor of Public Management at the University of Leipzig since March 2013. Since then he was able to attract third-party research funding from government ministries and enterprises for five research projects. He has published 3 books and 55 articles in scientific journals regarding a wide range of public management and public corporate governance issues. He is an expert for public corporate governance/responsible management and control of state-owned enterprises, accounting and outcome-oriented control. His main research focus is on empirical research and cross-country studies regarding the effects of governance concepts/structures/practices and accounting routines on the organizational performance/public service provision such as (variable) board remuneration, gender diversity, corporate governance codes and holding management reforms concerning budget consolidation. Quality press and other renowned media have regularly reported about his published research results.
