The ski trip will take place on the largest Italian valley Glacier and we hope it will be a nice occasion to stay together! Forni Glacier is placed in Upper Valtellina, not far from Milan (190 Km) and close to a nice village, Santa Caterina Valfurva (SO)


You may consider the possibility to come with us (with ski and skins or with snow rackets) on Forni Glacier (and in this case, please, let me know thus the Alpine Guide knows the exact numbers of skiers) or the possibility to spend 1-2 days to Bormio or Santa Caterina Ski Resorts or to take advantage of the thermal springs located in Bormio.

Ski equipments:
If you have ski, skins, ski poles and boots and or/ ARVA (eventually shovel and probe) please take your own with you otherwise you can rent the ski gear or the snow rackets in Bormio or Santa Caterina Valfurva.

By car
You can reach Santa Caterina Valfurva by car leaving from Milan on Saturday by the National Road SS36 direction Lecco-Sondrio-Bormio. During the Meeting will be available some maps about Village and Glacier location for drivers. You will find at the end of this page a list of cheap hotels located in the surrounding of Santa Caterina Valfurva where you can book a room by yourself, obviously if you prefer you can also stay in Bormio, a larger village 13 km far from Santa Caterina where you could spend the Saturday skiing on World Cup pistas!

By train
If you want to use the train, the line is Milano Centrale-Tirano and from Tirano to Bormio and Santa Caterina you have to take a bus from a bus station located in front of the rail station of Tirano. The bus timetable from Tirano-Bormio-Santa Caterina Valfurva is connected to the train timetable coming from Milano Centrale. The train arrives in 2h and 30' from Milan to Tirano and the bus needs other 50' from Tirano to Bormio. From Bormio to Santa Caterina it takes other 20' by bus.
