RESEARCH PROJECT ON IT IN THE OIL&GAS INDUSTRY

ICT is changing the way companies manage their processes, people work together and organize their activities. The speed of this change is often a reason for disorientation. Which opportunities does a technology enable? Given our specific requirements, Which is it the best solution? Should we wait for the next technology to come? How is the adoption of a new technology going to impact on and change the current working practices?

These are only few of the questions managers and users are required to confront with in order to leverage their capacity to exploit the potential enclosed in these technologies. The objective of this observatory is to provide managers and practitioners with a compass, useful to support their decision making and a forum to share their experiences and best practices on management and use of those technologies.
