Fabrizio Adani - Scientific responsible

Professor of Soil Chemistry, Soil and environment, Use and Recycling of agroindustrial and agricultural Biomasses, Biomasses chemistry and Bioenergy production for the Dipartimento di Produzione Vegetale of Università degli Studi di Milano.
His research is focused on soil and environmental chemistry, biomasses recycling and renewable energy production.
He has 170 published papers on national and internetional reviews.

Fulvia Tambone

Graduated in Agricultural Sciences in 1994, Ph.D in 2000 on Agricultural Ecology, from 2005 she is researcher at the Di.Pro.Ve. on topics regarding soil, environment and biomasses chemistry, renewable energy production, studies of the humified fraction of soils and biomasses through the application of spectroscopic techniques, evolution of soils in extreme climates.
She has 50 publications on both international and national scientific reviews.

Barbara Scaglia

Graduated in Biological Science in 1998, she got the Ph. Doctorate in Agricultural Ecology in the XVI section, defending the thesis "Dynamic soil quality definition using biological and chemical parameters". Since 1999 she collaborates with Dipartimento di Produzione Vegetale on research issues relating to waste and biomass treatment and management, development of national (UNI) and international (CEN committee) analytical methods and soil quality. She is author of several scientific papers published on Italian and international scientific journals.

Giuliana D´Imporzano

She graduated in Agricultural Science and got the Ph. Doctorate in the XIX section, defending the thesis "Results of organic matter application on soil quality: new analytical tools and indexes elaboration". She collaborates with Dipartimento di Produzione Vegetale of Università degli Studi di Milano on research issues relating to energy production from biomasses and wastes, waste management and soil quality. She also works as process and rules consultant in anaerobic digestion plants (biogas), composting plants and waste biostabilization plants. She is author of 8 scientific papers published on Italian and international scientific journals.

Silvia Salati

Post Doc. Graduated in Environmental Science in 2004, Ph.D. in Agriculture Ecology with a thesis on the Influence of modifications in lignin biosynthetic pathway of wild type and bm3 maize plants on formation and conservation of soil HA–like molecules. Since 2007 she collaborates with Dipartimento di Produzione Vegetale on topics concerning soil, environment and biomasses chemistry. Superintendent about heavy metals and nutrients in soils, agriculture biomasses and urban wastes.
She is author of 9 international scientific publications.

Valentina Orzi

Research grant. Graduated in 2005 in Agricultural Science and Technology at the University of Milan. Ph.D. in Agricultural Ecology in 2009 with a thesis on the "Evolution of organic matter in paddy soil under different agronomic practices". She works at the Department of Crop Production since 2005; currently studying on the odour impact of waste treatment plants and the biological stability achieved during the treatment process. She is author of 5 international scientific publications.

Andrea Schievano

PhD Candidate. Degree in Environmental engeneering at Università di Padova (2006). Master Thesis at Technical University of Denmark: "Anaerobic dehalogenation of CFC gases in landfill environment". Graduated in 2010 in Biodiversity and Biological Evolution at the University of Milan with a thesis entitled "Qualitative and quantitative aspects of biodiversity in Ticino Park: habitat selection and bioindicators". PhD student in Agricultural Ecology with a project on the optimization of the production mechanisms of biohydrogen from laboratory to full scale.

Samuele Lonati

Research fellow. Graduated in Agricultural Science at the University of Milan with a thesis entitled "Production of bio-hydrogen and bio-methane from different organic matrices: a comparative study of anaerobic digestion laboratory between mono-stage and bi-stage". His studies are focused on energy production from biomasses, in particular carries out control and process consulting in anaerobic digestion plants (biogas).
He is co-author of 2 scientific papers published on international scientific journals.

Research fellow. Master Degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical technology from the Università degli studi di Milano Milano.
