The Quantum Twin Workshops are an experimental alternative to the traditional science workshop format. Whilst still including the more traditional features of a conference, the twin workshops will also explore new ways of discussing quantum physics. Participation is by invitation only.

The first of this pair of workshops, about The Meaning of Being Quantum, took place in 2012 from May 31st to June 3rd in Favignana (Italy) and its twin, devoted to Complex Quantum Systems will follow in Wick, Scotland from Mon, May 27th to Thu, May 30th 2013.

The organizers of both workshops are Sabrina Maniscalco (Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh) and Matteo Paris (Universita` di Milano). To get in touch with us or to request more information about the twin workshops, please email either Matteo or Sabrina.

The workshop is sponsored by the Finnish cultural foundation, Emil Aaltonen Foundation, Institute of Photonics and Quantum Sciences Heriot-Watt University, Scottish Universities Physics Alliance (SUPA), Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
