The long and fascinating journey of the research on stem cells
This event is dedicated to High School students. It takes place once a year, preferably in March, at University of Milan. The event will be an opportunity for learning, discovery, and confrontation in the field of stem cell research. Other aspects faced during the day are the experiences related to cultural expectations related to research, being a scientist day after day and the mechanisms of formation and consolidation of knowledge. Usually attended by 700 students it involves a whole range of activities: lectures and films (produced by European Consortium Eurostemcell and Telethon Foundation) on key aspects of stem cell science during the morning and lab visits for small groups of student (which include the vision of experimental procedures and planned recreational activities on the lessons learned during the day). Students were allowed to visit BioRep lab (the greatest European biorepository), Sapio factory, and 3 labs directed by UniStem founders.
