Born on 10.9.46, graduated in Chemistry in 1969; assistant professor in Physical Chemistry in 1971 at the University of Pavia; contract and thereafter associate professor of Theoretical Chemistry in this University for the academic years 1975/76 - 1986/87; full professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Milan since 04.02.87.
