Milan summer school
“Cost Benefit Analysis of Investment Projects:
Principles and Sector applications”.
September 18th – 23rd, 2017
The EUsers network, in particular the team of the University of Milan, has supported the organization of the summer school “Cost Benefit Analysis of Investment Projects: Principles and Sector applications” held in Milan from 18-23 September 2017. The School offers an intensive learning experience focused on the ex-ante appraisal (Cost Benefit Analysis) of Major Infrastructure Projects asking for co-financing under the European Structural and Investment Funds in the programming period 2014-2020. The structure of this school reflects the need to provide an overview and introduction to principles and methods of CBA and, at the same time, to offer a more in-depth understanding of sectoral applications (Transport, environment, urban development, research and development, etc.).
This year the school took place in combination with an international workshop focusing on the role of CBA in government decision-making which has been jointly organized by the Society for Benefit-Cost Analysis, University of Milan with the support of the EUsers network and CSIL. Participants of the summer school were offered with the opportunity to join this event as part of their training programme. More information about the workshop are available here.
