The Italian Society for Neuroscience (SINS) will award 25 stipends to its student members for the participation to the National Congress of the Italian Society with a poster presentation.

Fellowships will be awarded on a comparative evaluation of the scientific value of the applicants’ CV and publications.

The amount of each fellowship will be 400 Euros.

The applicant should be:
- a student member of the Italian Neuroscience Society (i.e. below age 35, with no permanent position)
- first author on an abstract to be presented at the congress
- to be registered to the congress

Fellowships will be awarded to young researchers having already received a PhD degree or without a PhD degree.
Applications should contain:
1. Personal data form (click to download);
2. Copy of ID or passport;
3. CV together with a list of publications;
3. Declaration of no permanent position by the Laboratory Head (specifying whether the candidate has a doctorate degree or not);
5. Copy of the abstract submitted to the SINS congress;
6. Copy of registration form.

Applicants are eligible only if they are already SINS members or if they submit the SINS membership application form (downloadable from the SINS website: http://www.sins.it) together with the fellowship application. A copy of this call is also available on the SINS web site.

The list of winners will be communicated by September, 2009.
The stipend will be given at the Congress.

Applicants are encouraged to also attend to the Cajal Club Annual Meeting (http://www.cajalclub.org/) that will be held in Pavia (September 29-October 1). In this case, the amount of the fellowship will be slightly increased.
