Call for Abstracts

Abstracts are invited from established investigators, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. The work presented in the abstract must not have been published. All accepted abstracts will be scheduled either for oral or a poster presentation. The presentations will be conducted in English.

 

Abstract Submission Process and Deadlines

Deadline for abstracts to be published and presented at the meeting is April 10th, 2017. The last date to withdraw abstract is April 20th, 2017.

Abstracts are to be submitted as part of online registration process. If you are not submitting an abstract, you can still register to attend the meeting.

 

Format of abstract.

Word limit of abstract is 250 excluding the title, authors and affiliations.

On separate lines, include

Notification of Abstract Acceptance

Authors will receive the notice of acceptance or rejection for their abstracts via email no later than May Ist , 2017.

 

Oral Presentations

Speakers are allocated approx. 25 minutes to present and 5 minutes for discussion.

 

Poster Presentations

Two poster sessions will be held during the meeting. The presenters are requested to mount their posters 9:00AM on Wednesday 13th September to remain until 5:00 PM. All the figures, title of poster should be easily readable. Materials needed for mounting poster will be available in the poster area.

 

Travel Grants

We are pleased to inform that Diabetes and Obesity Center was kind enough to support 8 best posters awards. This competition is open to all graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The award will support hotel accommodation for a maximum of 3 days. The selection will be based on the quality of science as judged by the reviewers.

 

Registration

Registration will be free for attendees who stay in Brown Hotel. Attendees, who are not staying at Brown hotel will have to pay a registration fee of $150 to cover the cost of dinner and booklet. Last date for registration is June 30 2017.

 

Social Event

The inaugural dinner is on Tuesday Sept 12th 2017 that will include reception and cocktails on the terrace of Brown Hotel followed by dinner. Dinner and cocktails are complimentary for all the attendees.

There will be free lunch and breakfast served for the two-day meeting.

 

 Accommodation

For all the attendees, we have blocked rooms at the Brown hotel. The hotel is located 20 minutes from the Louisville International Airport (SDF). Brown hotel offers free shuttle service from airport to the hotel. Rooms can be booked on the link provided on the carnosine symposium website or below. Louisville airport

The airport at Louisville is called Louisville International Airport with symbol SDF. Most of the carriers including American airlines, Southwest and United fly into SDF. There are direct flights to Louisville from New York, Washington, Atlanta, Houston, Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas, Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia and Baltimore.

 

Registration Check in

Registration will be open on Sept 12th beginning at 4 PM at the Gallery Ballroom (16th floor). The registration desk will close on Sept 13th at 5 PM.

 

Invitation for Full-Length Papers to be Published

Selected presentations and abstracts will be invited for publication as a full-length manuscript in special issue of the Amino Acids Journal.
